Default 18in Oz Alleggerita HLT for track??

Picking up track wheels and tires for my new to me GT3.

Anyone run the OZ Alleggerita HLT wheel for the track? Any issues with bending/cracking?

Other sub $2k options for wheels that are better?

Thanks

Question

Are you referring to the OZ HLT Challenge wheels in 18" size? I have plenty of experience with them, they are strong and relatively light. Never a crack or other issue. Great deal, mine are all pending sale unfortunately for you. I know of no other wheel that is better or available for less that I would trust at the track for less at least for CL hubs.

Front

Size: 18x8.5 18x9
Offset: 53mm 48mm
Backspacing: 6.85"
Bolt Pattern: 5-130
Rec. Tire Size: 235/40-18

Rear

Size: 18x12
Offset: 68mm 60mm
Backspacing: 9.13"
Bolt Pattern: 5-130
Rec. Tire Size: 295/35-18
Weight: 22.4lbs.
Finish: Black Painted

The numbers in bold, is what i would search to get. What i did last time i purchased through tire rack i got boxer's rear tires to use for front and gt2 for rear or something like that. Get a more aggressive offset, so no need for spacers. HLT great wheel. I used them.

I did the math, i was confident it would work. Perfect flush. Even with the whole weight of the car on that one side, still no rubbing. Offset of 53 ? Or something crazy like that. Soooooo nice. I drool just looking.

I have a set of those wheels for sale in 8.5 and 12 widths I used on my 997.1 GT3. I also have a set of Formula 43 Rad 14 for sale too in 9 and 12 widths for the same fitment. The OZ are anthracite and the formula 43 are anodized clear. OZ are $1000 and the Formula 43 are $1800.

Contact me

Thanks
Stu

As long as you have steel brakes, not PCCB, the OZ's Allegeritas are perfectly fine. Just add some 5mm spacers up front, if you want a little wider track.

For the price, you can't beat them.
