Default Who is at COTA this weekend

I am in garage 10/11 with ShakeNBake and TexasRS and one more 997.2 (JC) and a bunch of nice E92 M3s. Parking lot looked very empty last night. May be able to get some clear laps.

Had a great last run today with 4forme, kyrock, chasing the Kermit. That thing is fast on racing slicks! I needs some more cow bell to keep up, toasted R1s are not going to cut it.

That was a good time, too bad I only did Sat. Out of curiosity, what kind of times were you guys turning? I have a long way to go to be able to keep up, I know that.

Cb,

The guys in white on Hoosiers are moving. 2:24-2:25. In the red group I was 2:39 on street tires. That was probably middle of the pack in red.

Thanks for the info. I was on street tires running in blue but only managed a 2:49. I know where I can make up some time though. 2:39 sounds impressive to me and 2:24 is crazy fast. Goals for next time.

Can you guys in Texas keep me posted on the next PCA/BMW CCA event out at COTA in the cooler months? I'm thinking of having Violet shipped out so she can hit an F1 track.

One of the members PMed and told me about it too but that it was already sold out. Do any groups run a 3 or 4 day event (one or two groups running back-to-back)? If I'm gonna spend all the time and money on shipping the car out and flying out, I want to get as many track days as possible.

Almost nobody does back to back days besides a weekend, but back to back weekends are easy. It is also easy to round up 6 or more people and rent out all of TWS. Drive up there after COTA and do that. It is a great and fun track for fast cars like the RS. The other local one is MSRH, but it is private to a degree. We would have to try to negotiate that. There are plenty of us here that can help receive and ship your car back while you fly.

I forgot that the MVP event was 3 days. 35 cars max per group. That is the one you want. It was Feb, and I am sure Mark will be back.

Chin is lining up another date for the end of Jan/beginning of Feb. This is the group to go there with. Better than MVP in my opinion. I would be in for a TWS day to make the trip out sweeter.

MVP was pretty killer, best event at COTA this year so far. I hope Chin lives up to the high expectations. Edge would have been ok this weekend, but there was some serious resume padding and special favors going on - it was amazing to me that there was no car contact. The highlight of the event for me was a track walk of 7-8-9. I would rather have seen 5-6 and 16-17-18, but I'll take what I can get.
