Default Pilot Sport Cup 2's?

Has anyone run them on track yet? Given the drought of NT-01's, I have limited choices to finish out the track season. I would love to know if these have the grip of the MSCP's and possibly better wear. If so, good short term solution.

Thanks

They're supposed to grip better than MPSC and wear better, but I haven't heard any good comparo info from people yet. Would love to see you run these and hear your thoughts on how they compare to mpsc1 and nt01.

What are you running next Saturday?

I had a chance to drive on them at Paul Ricard this past weekend. They are amazing tires. Michelin test show something like 50% more tread life and about 18% more grip. I totally back those up. I drove the Pilot Super Sports, Cup and Cup 2 cars.

I definitely recommend them. As a vanity point the "velvet" print lettering on the sidewalls looks cool too.

It looks like 245/35ZR19 and 325/30ZR19 sizes are available for my 4.0 RS in Europe, now.

Can't wait for Tire Rack or somebody else to get those sizes in stock!!!

Saw a 991 C2S PDK at the Ridge on 6/14 in the advance group breeze by a lot of fast cars. I hear the driver was very good, but noticed he was on a new set of Cup 2's.

He did a 1:51 and it was manual. I was impressed.

That review is matches how I would compare the new Pilot Sport A/S vs my old set of Pilot Sports. Turn in is not as quick, they feel a little soft but grip is superior in the dry and wet and so far they look like they are wearing well.

I wonder why turn-in isn't as quick, seems odd when everything else about the tire is a big improvement.

I need a set of Cup 2 instead of my Super Sport.

SS best road tyre if you drive at all in the wet and as DD- Cup 2's if you are lucky enough for year round dry weather/Sunday best car..
