I mean come on...

With the spy shots sporting turbo inlets on the rear quarters, even before the GT3 engine fires! Porsche may have been mulling over this idea for some time now!

And a flat 4 turbo GT4 Cayman? I say ok so long as it will give us 400BHP at around $90K.

Now we may know where they will get that four cylinder engine for the Porsche that will slot below Cayman/Boxster - sans Turbo of course. And I hope they stay away from VW parts bin for that car.

If true, it would seem that the golden era of naturally aspirated RS models is over...but also that the GT2 might be redundant. I suppose that could just call it a 911 RS or something like that.

It would be tremendous news for the long term values of the 997.1 and 997.2 GT3 RS models though, as it would truly add an exclamation point to the fact that they are indeed 'end of era' machines. I guess only time will tell what Porsche unleashes.

However, I have to say this sounds a bit unlikely overall since I would assume Porsche still intends to race their GT3 models in the future, so unless they are planning to go turbo in that arena I would bet this plan isn't too likely.

worrying is like a rocking chairs, it gives you something to do, but wont get you anywhere.
