After all the nice garage pics in the other thread I decided to repaint and do some changes in the garage.
The 4.0 had to spend the day in the barn. Don't want to leave it out in the November weather.

Jack, great pictures. Note you have a hemi Challeger. Post what you think of that car. My first new car was a '69 Charger R/T, with the 440 ci motor. As a young Lt. took it to Germany, running 18c a gallon army quartermaster gas, or Esso on coupons. Had the 3 in Imperial drums, so would not make one complete stop from anything approaching a 100 with out complete brake fade. Lots of memories with that car, the 426 Hemi was a $770 option, on a car I paid $3275 for, so the Hemi option was nearly a quarter of the cost of the car. Sold it in Germany to a SGT who went off the road in it. Fond memories of that car. But in reality, the muscle cars of the '60's weren't all that quick or fast as our memories would like to remember them. I think mine would have run at best a 6 second 0-60 run, and topped out at about 125 mph or so. A car mag, which I still have, put slicks on a 426 Charger, and ran the mid 13's in the quarter. Due to the vague steering and poor brakes, I never had it over about 105 on the autobahn.

Tell me about your Challenger, which I happen to think is by far the best looking of the Retro muscle cars. I almost bought a 392 one when they came out about 3 years ago.

all the best.....

Sending you a PM, most Porsche guys could probably care less about a Dodge.

Thanks! They are Starke Design BC, matte graphite. Very affordable, available at Tire Rack and Wheel Dynamics among other sources.

I don't track, no need for a $6K set of wheels. I'll be selling the Champions in the Spring.
