I'm probably in the minority on this; but I think the .1 cars look amazing vs. the .2 cars. I thought my .2 was the most beautiful 997, but looking at the .1 cars, and now my .1, it's eye opening. They have more in common with the 993 cars. Damn.

My opinion changes over time. I had always thought 7.1rs was most over-priced relative to all 997 gt3 variants, but recently its looks have started to win me over (enough that I contradicted myself and bought one). I like that its lines and decal themes draw from RS's of the past. The color schemes totally make the car look like a giant match-box toy. The 7.2rs and 4.0 don't have quite as classic of a look but they do the "over-the-top" look very well (I'm not a fan of the red lipstick on white though). The plane Jane 7.2 has always been my least favorite in the looks category. It still good looking, just my least fav aesthetically. The 7.1 gt3 will always have a soft spot with me because it was my first 911. Some angles I love the taco wing; some not.

I'd probably put the 997.1rs at top of the looks list 20 years from now just because it has most classic look, imo (but still worst performance/$ of the bunch). They all look good and I think their looks will age well.

Lots to like about the flying' taco 3 vs the 3.2 and 991 for sure! No CL's, less nannies, even the flying' taco wing has something going for it. I know it's functional for the track/physics junkies with adjustability, Gurney lip, etc., but always undecided whether I like it hanging out there like maybe an add-on parcel shelf, or whether it actually adds to the car's exotic appeal. At least they refrained from adding the boy racer 3.8 tag, like they did on the 3.2 wing. I disliked that from the start and the centerlock debacle was the icing on the cake in my decision to go with a 3.1. Contrary to the track guys, mine's more of a highway car so a bit o sun from the roof is okay with me.. More wind rush keeps the speeds down and the LEO's at bay.
