Very curious to hear your take on the C4GTS vs the 997 GT3 once you get more seat time. I had a similar feeling with my C2S with PSE, SPASM and PDK. Some of that was likely due to it being PDK, but I never connected with that car. After a couple months with it I knew it wasn't the right car for me. GT3 I'm almost three years in and still enjoying.

I've got both but both manual. The only mods to the C4GTS was a BMC filter and DSC module. While they may be aesthetically nearly identical inside and out they're two completely different experiences. The C4GTS is great as an every day car or even a moderately sporty car but it doesn't compare to the GT3. The gears, the motor, the suspension - it's all vastly different. Don't get me wrong, the C4GTS is a great car but it's not a GT3. Happy to elaborate if you've got any specific questions.

I had/have both a 7,2 GTS 6spd and 7.2 GT3. There is simply no comparison between the two. The GTS is a great Carrera. Vey usable, great handling, decent power, disappointing gearbox (sloppy). The GT3 is an "experience". The handling is razor sharp, the power delivery is just in a whole different galaxy, the steering is telepathic, the gearbox is ultra precise and of course, sound is simple intoxicating. Anyone who says the GTS splits the difference between a C2s and a GT3 has either never driven a GT3 or is lying to themselves. On a scale of 1-20, if the C2S is a 10 and a GT3 is a 20, the GTS is a 12. Certainly between the two, but nowhere close to evenly split the difference. This is not a put down of the GTS. It's a great car and I enjoyed my time with it. But once you get used to the power of a turbo or the handling/sound of a GT3, everything else becomes boring.

spot on. C4GTS was extremely comfortable. I modded it a bit more than you; BMC air filters, DSC controller, function first shifter upgrade, shifter cables, engine mount, transmission mount, Sharkwerks xpipe, Rennline radiator screens. Only one problem for me: redlined at 7,300 rpm. Being a 14-year E46 M3 driver, I bounced it off the rev limiter too many times. I needed a higher revving car and wanted to experience the Mezger legend. It delivered. The experience is totally different and totally worth it. Road trip was comfortable with the adaptive seats.

Agreed - GT3 clutch is great once you get used to it and if you get out of it into another car, you'll likely put your foot through the floor.
