Great buy GMG builds quality parts that are race proven. Certainly buy the stock parts and put them on the shelf but I would not take off the GMG bits they make a tremendous difference on the track.

We went through a complete build with GMG and I could not be happier. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-gt2-...age-queen.html

Good luck with your investment and get out and drive the car. Final thought You might look into a wrap it protects the paint is completely removable and can be anything you want from matt black to detailed graphics. Good insurance from rock chips.

Enjoy.......

I was going to buy that GT2 from Arizona a month or two back but decided to go with the GT3 RS. You did see the over rev report right? PM me if you're not sure what I'm referring to. Hope you're enjoying it!

Yes I saw the ECU dump. Not worried about it at all. The car is rev. limiter. I figured most used GT2s have been run pretty hard. This car was used for a top speed competition in Idaho. For me, the low mileage and it not being used on a track compensated for all the high speed runs.

That's not what I'm referring to. The rev limiter is raised a touch, not really that big of an issue. It's misshifting the downshift that can damage it. Rev range 1-3 isn't a problem, range 4 could possibly cause damage, range 5 and 6 engine damage is likely and probable.

If you PM me your email I'll send the over rev report for your car.

Run hard and too many over revs (even with rev limiter which they all have) are 2 different things. Track time driven properly is better then many over revs. Hope it turns out OK.

I own a couple 993TT's and the acceleration of this car makes them seem like carnival toys. I am pretty impressed but I do think I will de-tune it and put it back to stock - which will still spank the 993TT.

Congratulations, and use it in good health.

LOL with the comparison.

How much bigger are the InterCoolers? I would say at least keep them if they ain't too big and get a decent mapping done. Did the regular GT2 have the Akrapovic or was that just the RS version?

The intercoolers do have more cooling capacity. GMG, I think. Yes, the stock exhaust is Akrapovic titanium. The car was mapped using GIAC on GMG's dyno.
