Any of you headed to Laguna Seca tomorrow (Sunday)? If so will see you there. 1st time running a 90db event. I have the exhaust valve switcher- hopefully it helps.
Can't believe how many track days you lot are able to pull off, this is only my third this year.

Awesome day. I met this old guy Allen with a 993, his son owns Red Line in LA, he was kind enough to show me the track. I say old because I gave him 55-60and he later told me he is 77. Super cool guy. He later went for a ride along and confirmed my cheater car and lied about me being a great confident driver. He recently went back to tracking cars, but still prefers his Ducati's.. I want to be Allen when I grow up.
Great group of guys here, 10 min drivers meeting, be nice, be cautious, open passing. This is what the flags mean. If you get 3 black flags, don't come talk to us, just go home.
Still learning the track, laptimes went up! over my second session because I had a passenger, my brakes and brain were fried and my engine temp was higher that I ever seen, so I short shifted a bit.
2 laps from the last session, the goal is to go sub 2:09 tomorrow AM:
3 days a year? You're doing it wrong.

Ron Fellows looked after my car all day today at SMMR...
Well, OK... looked OVER is more like it. LOL
Actually, I want to give a huge shout-out to Kent and his guys at Premier Sportscar Service in Las Vegas. Kent is the most knowledgeable guy I've ever met as far as Cup cars. If you're ever in need of Porsche service or track side support, contact Kent!!!
I finally got to give Tini the beating she so deserves!

Good seeing you again Martin, sorry your day was over quick but glad you made it home on corded tires.
The grapevine hill aka Mount Everest was a challenge with the Sunday drivers Nd sucked the tank empty fast!
Another day another 100 gallons, almost more expensive to get there than racing on $10 per gallon 101 race gas!

^ Just remember that climb when you give advice regarding this or that SUV OK to pull this or that trailer! Let me know how much you love I5 North of Buttonwillow- it has to be the worst 100 miles of interstate in the west.
Good luck next week, wish I could be there but I will be working in Indiana, so keep me entertained with lots of posts everyone!

A few timid laps around SMMR's Mansell 3.2 mile configuration...
I do so much better when I have a rabbit! It was only my second time at SMMR, and my first time on this config. I was just doing a shake-down of the car, and wasn't really focused on my driving. I know I left a lot on the table, but, as always, I welcome your input. Thankfully, I finally have the gearbox working normally!!!
