Long and infamous history behind that car. Not modded by Champion.
As it now sits, it is an awesome car...just be glad you didn't have to go through the process of getting it to this point.

interesting that it is being sold after freshly being sorted...
I have seen this before -- the huge project finally gets done, then gets launched
I would not be afraid of the "history" if I got good story from the sorters...

This is a good car. All parts are OEM 4.0 and CUP.
THIS in THE RS to get, 4.0 improved with CUP parts.
I know the car and owner pretty well.
Nothing is hidden, a few searches and you know the whole history but now its the one to have!
Penny's on the dollar.

I wish my GMG car was worth that much. I guess I don't have a 4.0 engine...

Yup.
Champion did most Cup car stuff and fenders. Beautifully done.
GMG sold him some stuff including a non working motor.
Orbit built an OEM 4.0 and made it perfect.

Impossible to replicate for the buy it now price. Engine alone north of 50K if just a 4.0 conversion, with actual OE Porsche parts, I can't imagine, but not cheap.

I understand you wouldn't be able to replicate the same build for the same amount of money but that's no different than any other modification. You never get what you put in. If an average RS example sells for $135-$140k then this is priced just right me thinks.

Motors are like stamping dies. Too many tool & die makers working on the same tool, one after the next, and you don't know who did what. RS's come with enough bugs as it is, I'd rather go CPO all day long and save the $. My sympathies to the owner for what he was put through.
