From looking at the Build Sheet, is there any way to figure out the PTS color? For example, here's a Voodoo Blue RS 4.0's build sheet:

98 mean PTS-nonmetalic ... paint code for voodoo is Z12 I believe ...

what you need is the paint code and the list of approved colors...

 

Yeah, I have the list of approved colors (courtesy of Eduardo on another thread), but I was hoping the PTS paint code would be in the build sheet(s)... and it looks like it's not.

So this means there's basically no way to know what it is? I presume dealers can look it up somewhow (is it in some notes section?).

 

dealers can do so typically (I believe) the "window sticker" info does not list the particular color code, only PTS and metalic/non-metalic.

If you (or someone else) has physical access to the car, you can determine the color code by looking inside the petrol cap cover ...

No kidding? I'm sad that I missed out on it when it popped up for sale the first time (back when North Houston had it listed at $260k).

 

$260,000 for a PTS 4.0 was a quaint time, when they were still sharing the road with Model T's.

 

Hopefully a 1-of-1 PTS 3.8RS will be able to hold its value into the future too despite being driven properly.

The Voodoo Blue RS4.0 was going for $260k a couple years back at North Houston. Then, of course, it listed for $390k at Pittsburgh late last year.

Again, missed opportunity on my part. I had my eyes on, and fingers in, other cars at the time, and decided I didn't have time to deal with dealing with another RS.
