One good thing about rain days, you usually have the entire track to yourself and you can run with your windows up!

Hopefully tomorrow will bring better weather.

i didn;t see your car. we are parked opposite side of JWE's rig, closer to hot pit, 44' and 38' TPD
look for a gulf livery boxster or a GT3 with very large wing.

sat out in monring b/c i had slicks on car.
finally got off my lazy a** and put on street rubber after lunch... and track promptly dried up. oh well.......

First time out in the new car. Great! Only... pouring rain and I only have slicks. Ugh! The wait was killing me.

I only got out for the final 2 sessions yesterday. Disappointed that I was so slow to get out on track, as I really didn't see much of my pals. I did manage to chase down the Gulf Cup BSR.

Planning on being more on top of it today. Hope to get the cool suit box plumbed and working today. Even in mild temperatures, driving a 7 Cup is almost like sitting in a sauna. Yikes! Can't imagine how hot it gets inside this car during the sweltering heat of high summer in the Central Valley.

The car is quite a paradox! It is both simultaneously easy to drive and yet very difficult to drive. I had no problem taxiing the car in the paddock, out to the hot pit lane and then back into the paddock. I never stalled the car. However, I only drove it for 2 sessions. I never spun the car, and I only locked up the brakes once (a little too hard on the pedal going into T3), but that didn't even upset the car and the only way I knew I locked up was the tire smoke wafting into the cabin.

I am well and truly hooked! I'm getting goosebumps just typing this, as I think about what today will bring!

Mooty,
Wasn't there...old picture at SP all by myself. No one else went out that session. If I didn't have passenger/side windows I would have stayed under cover as well!!!

Lar's, CUP! Nice!!!! Congrats!
Did you scrap the 991 GT3 order?

PS: Glad to see/hear the weather is much nicer for you guys today, ENJOY!!!

awesome time seeing everyone this weekend - congrats to Lars on his new Cupcar - he and I both were taking some humble-pie as we learned our new beasts…I think by the end of the weekend we were both getting them under control - but only time will tell - here is a video of my fastest lap (2:00) it's 3 seconds slower than my previous personal best - but it was arrived at via carefully ramping up my skills in the new car…

I look forward to seeing everyone at the next event…always good to hang out for a track weekend…
