I will be there. Can't wait. Have done Road America, Barber, Mid Ohio, Putnam and Roebling--but not VIR. I have been watching YouTube Videos every night, and yet know I will be reduced to a bumbling idiot my first heat. Going to ask for a courtesy passenger heat one to get me off to a good start.

New pavement is AWESOME!

I'd estimate the track is 2 or 3 seconds faster.

Wasn't driving a p car, had my daily driver FD out there because I just sold the GT3 and the track FD is under the knife but still had a blast. Here's a vid having some fun with Caymans; 2.10 to 2.11 laps. You know if Caymans are running those times it's FAST LOL

It's way more than 2-3 seconds. Many of the pros are quoting at least 4-5 sec and more once rubbered in

OOPs my bad, should of said at least 2 or 3 seconds

5 seconds would be a lot for an sm car but I could see a grand am car picking up 5 seconds. I'm just hoping it's the miracle I need to run a sub 2 minute lap

Fritz, was that you in the RX7 with, uh, different color wheels? I was there with my new (to me) number 11 car, green and white. I need to change my avatar when I get a good pic.

The widening of the track in certain spots def made it a faster track. What time did the rain ever make it over on sunday? I left after the first session on Sunday to beat the rain/snow that was in the forecast for the mid-atlantic/ne region.

I was in the white e36 M3 (blue group) riding w/ Brian Walsh...who is an amazing instructor!

Yep, those neon green wheels are NICE, came from an RX7 I parted and I just couldn't let those babies go LOL

Was that the green and white cup type car? If so looking good and I bet you were having a blast.

Here's another one just chillin, nobody to play with.

Cool bit of info. The RX7 I'm driving was Keith Armbruster's who sold it to me after picking up a beautiful blue 997 GT3. Keith was the original owner and this is a terrific little car. Not really setup for track work but I love running around town in it.

Wish we hooked up Friday instead of Sunday morning. Hope you got some more runs in before the rain.

Terry - we met at NJMP, and briefly talked about seats at one time. Did you sell that track-converted white '3?

Fritz, it's a 997.1 GT3 which was converted to a Cup car in its infancy. Mostly Cup everything but 5 lug wheels, H pattern shifter, GT3 brakes, ABS, intake manifold. Obviously, a big change for which I am approaching slowly, but God, is it fast.
