I looks like the difference between the two is the FGR5NQE04 has 4 ground electrodes whereas the Y5DDC has 2. My original plugs also had 2 electrodes, I'm wondering if 4 electrodes makes a difference. Anyone know?

it is EXACTLY the same as .2 on a .1, even the same plugs... easy 40 min job including jacking up - allow an hour if you are pedantic and its your first time... just do it and you won't have to refer to this guide!!!

A number of the Rennlisters advise removing the mufflers on the 997.1 and 997.2's to access the removal of the spark plugs. I was able to complete the job without removing the mufflers on my 2008 Carrera S. I asked a trusted Service Advisor if the Porsche mechanics at the dealership removed the mufflers on the 997.2 to change plugs. He said that they didn't. I think I will give it a try with the mufflers in place.

By the way, 6 Bosch spark plugs for my 997.2 were less than $60.00 delivered and a Contitech serpentine belt was just over $20.00 delivered on eBay. Both Bosch and Contitech are OEM's to Porsche. Same part, different box.
Part #'s: Bosch FGR5NQE04
Contiitech: 6DPK1853 (I always carry a spare).

Contitech might be oem supplier but their belt quality in a Porsche box is different than the one you will find in their own box. I would not buy a Contitech belt that is not in a Porsche box.

Just adding some pics, weather was nice today so I jacked up the car and put new plugs in👍
I used the magnetic socket from Gear wrench,-it’s really a must if you ask me,-got it at Advance parts $10.99
an extra extension made it perfect, and the torx on a ratchet also worked well. To take the shield off I just used an 8mm socket,no issues
