Found out I can use gen 1 or 2 pccb. The only diff is the hat and I can change it.
Also turbo fronts work - the rotor itself is all the same.

Can you please outline what led to this crack? I get a lot of grief from the arizona pca members for upgrading to movit brakes and I would appreciate if you could share your timeline/usage stats that led to the crack.

Ran 6 hour race at HSR Sebring in December in the rain plus some practices in rain. Ran part of day at DMTD at Sebring in the rain. Ran test&tune for PCA48HOURS in the rain. Did night practice and qualitying for PCA48HOURS in the rain...
All with full nannies thereby posting fastest laps of all P-cars including all cup cars and took the pole with a 2:30.xxx.
And then never changed the increasingly browning brake fluid...
Then started Sprint#2 of PCA48HOURS in the cup car group from outside pole. Lots of flooring and hard braking on warmup lap... start race in front of 60+ cup cars and get to T1 - brake pedal to the floor.
That is how you kill a pccb rotor.

cracked in half, 180 degrees around is the same. If removed hat then it would fall apart into 2 pieces.

Everyone thinks the cost of pccb is the rotors. It is not the cost of the rotors as they usually last more than 10,000 yes TEN THOUSAND track miles.
It is the cost of the PADS. These things eat pads way faster than steel rotors. Not a percentage faster. A multiple faster.

The amount of heat your brake fluid absorbed must have been absurd.....it should be pretty easy to find some PCCB's with all the steel conversions.

Local guy here has 40+ weekends on his 07 GT3 PCCBs. They look new. I think the trick is to not pads run low.

Never ever let pads get low. First time metal hits the rotor, the rotor is trash.
Pads taper in front. Must flip after a day. Front pads wear 2x faster than rears. Set pads almost $800.

While rotor seem to last forever, pad costs are outrageous. Up there with tire costs. Pads probably cost me $15,000/year.

Great info GT3DE. You prefer PCCB enough to continue running at high cost. Can you elaborate why? Fade primarily? Any experience with MovIt?

Good to hear CCB rotors can last. Cheers

In Ontario they claim that they have cracked PCCB rotors from gravel and debre from cars going off….
I have never seen it in my travels however.
