Default Premium for new GT3

Have been offered a new build spot (second quarter april -june) for a GT3 for a $5000 premium. Is the premium reasonable given the current climate for GT3's.....

In the scope of things, $5 is pretty small, as long as it still fits within your budget. But, out of principle, I'd never pay over MSRP for anything. It's almost hard to believe that Porsche lets this **** happen. Obviousley, it does all the time. Crazy.

"Worth it" is subjective. How bad do you want the car? Enough to add that $5k to the closing costs and depreciation you will see when you drive the car home? I'm stating the obvious but I'm with the above posters... now way.

I wouldn't pay above MSRP. It's your money though and if you really don't care, you could enjoy the car earlier than all of us.

Dont get me wrong, I love the new 991GT3.

I would not pay a premium over sticker for the following reasons:

Production numbers will not be low enough to warrant premium.
Depreciation on this model will be in line with every other car.

If this were a RS, It would be reasonable, however I do not even think the new 991RS will command near the premiums that the 997RS series had when they first came out.

How much of a premium did the 997 RSs company when they first came out?

Back on topic, I would NEVER pay over sticker if I bought a new car (I like buying from private parties).

when the 997.1RS came along, word was people were paying upwards of $20k over sticker. And that was at the dealer.
On the street was possibly higher.
Somebody here might know the actual facts on that.

I am sorry but...

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

How generous of them to "offer". I would "offer" to them the suggestion that they go self-mate.

The guy I bought my orange .1 RS from paid $50K over MSRP. Times have changed I suppose.
