If you want it bad enough pay the 5k...its lower than alot of others. Personally I wouldn't pay more than msrp. Just a matter of principal

+1 Why would anyone pay extra to be a beta tester??? There are always little unknown gremlins in the first few years of the new platform that need to be worked through the system. I guess I'm a late adapter that likes to buy once the hype has passed, the bugs have been addressed, and mods have been created. Lol.

Id go look for a dealer who has one in stock for MSRP or can order what you want for MSRP.

I wonder how much P varies the production numbers based on popularity. Its hard to imagine they would want to leave money on the table. I read somewhere that they wanted to sell many more cars.

Yes, the corporate goal is to sell many more cars in part, by new model introductions. In terms of the the 991 GT3, it doesn't have the same production challenges that limited the 996/997 GT3 production numbers -a motorsport engine. Would expect to see higher numbers of the 991.

Not a penny above MSRP for me with both new RS's, .1 and .2. It's the principle of the matter.

That's all part of the new ownership "GROUP THINK" SELL SELL SELL; Volkswagen. Why do you think they released the S Turbo 911 a long with the new Turbo? To get them out there and to sell them. That and the Macan, do you really think that would have have came out if Porsche would have bought VW instead of it being the other way around?

I would never pay above MSRP for any car. A friend of mine ordered his GT3 and got a discount.

car definitely shouldnt be above msrp and PCNA doesnt like when this happens and tries to stamp it out where they can... having said that, i have attended some dinners where the good wine was flowing that ended up close to that number - its a pretty small "tax" if you are just having a "I must have it now" moment...
