I was entertaining a 991 for a bit -no premium over here yet...
The dealership did ask for a fully refundable 5,000 deposit for a spot in line, but I'm sure you aren't confusing the deposit with a premium.

No premium perhaps, but the line is quite long. I've seen some cancelled orders locally where they are trying to mark them up.

This is nearly as bad as people who camp out in front of the Apple store to be the first to get something that anyone with the cash will be able to buy later anyway.

Or has the 991 GT3 now become an exclusive production like the RS 4.0?

These days I see GT3's at my local Starbucks. GT3's used to be a rare sight.
