One observation I would make is that on slicks with race aero these guys have incrementally more grip than a street car that allows them to straighten out some
lines and not use all of the track that a street car (i.e one with less grip) would find challenging ...

Actually they didn't straighten up any lines -from those I've been taught by race drivers -sic!, they just do it faster...

The points said in that video about curbs and bumpy braking areas must be taken seriously. Use only those curbs which were shown, avoid everything else. Some of them are so high that, even though you may avoid being thrown out of the track, you will damage your car.

Lukas is a great driver. His vids are good for learning the course as well.

Breaking news!!!

Looks like our favorite playground is being sold...

Sure hope this doesn't muck up our plans for late April.

+1 ... I guess it all depends how the new owners intend to monetize the assets beyond what the current business model is ... if they stop the public lapping days & track days that will pretty much kill the local economy dead IMO ... while the F1 and Nordschleife based races/events are central (along with the industry pool) the locals depend upon the public access to "fill in the blanks" ...

I really hope for everyone that this unique historical landmark remains accessible for all to enjoy! (especially in May!)

Could (and hopefully will) be a positive change to the 'Ring' with improved safety, hospitality and road surfaces throughout.

I'm just worried about increasing cost for us and potential tacky commercialisms.

uugh ... could it get MORE expensive!!!

I wonder what the deal encompasses, just the tracks themselves or also the conference/convention ctr and the hotels?

if it includes the center and/or the hotels then I think we are all in trouble!!!

I just hope that they don't bring the American legal liability mindset. Glad that we decided to go this year.
