Good day, I have also been in contact with RSR -- this past week actually -- to arrange a single track day at Spa followed by Nurburg as well. Most recent conversation they suggested for dates later in May. If there is a group planning to go please loop me in on the dates as it would be nice to connect.

IMO you get the best out of your trip if you hire a professional coach. Just for few laps or few days. I had the oppoturnity of have one for two days last October. Sharing costs with few friends and discussing day's lessons over the dinner was very educational. I had already about 100 laps (now 120) so it was about going into details, but even for the first laps it's IMO more than necessary.

Again, IMO, best way to learn the track in advance is to look pro's videos. You can't get a grip about inclinatios, but at least you might have some idea where the track goes and what's the correct line.

Pete, you make a good point. Your suggestion to include coaching is very much what I have been looking at scheduling, particularly since this would be at least my first trip to either track. While I have been arranging alone thus far, I would be very interested to coordinate with others on the list.

i will be on the Nordschleife for the Scuderia S7 driving school from April 27 through 29...also planning to watch the VLN race on Sat, April 27.

would be great to chatch up with as many RLs as possible

another consideration for experienced Nordschleife folks should be the Porsche Driving School: no date yet, usually 2 days in August
- by far the best (i have attended BMW Int´l, Scuderia Hanseat and Scuderia S7 several times)
- they announced that you can rent the new GT3 (they already had several of them in an PSDS event in autumn 2013 in Imola).

- shipping agents to use
- container vs RoRo
- which ports to use or avoid (wrt Germany GST/VAT escrow)
- companies that will insure a US car in europe
- recommended track coaches

Ive been going to the Ring for 10 years, and have also coached at the BMW Intl Fahrer trainings (when that school was active).

While I am not a professional driver or coach, I am happy to coach you while I am there.
