Default GT3 RS 4.0 in white wanted

Guys. I had a deal inked on my perfect 4.0 - white w black interior (not the RED interior), ceramic brakes, no lift system, standard carbon seats, and 1,800 miles. But....wasn't told the car was tracked. I don't want a tracked car. So, can you help me find one? I have cash in hand or a great collection myself to consider. Please email me at bmiller2@mindspring.com or call me 703-627-9991. Bob

What's wrong with a tracked car as long as there are no overrevs and no crashes in it's history?

They're made for the track so it doesen't hurt them if the owner took good care of it (maintenance etc.).

If the car looks clean then go for it!

Thanks Red Bear. I know of that car. It has 2 transmissions and a red interior. I didn't get your email but came back here to check. Really looking for sub 2-3,000 miles. Bob

Here's my opinion for what it's worth (not much), if the other car was spec'd exactly the way you want and is super clean, GO FOR IT!!! With only 1800 mi on the clock, probably only a very small portion of those are actually on the track. Even if half of them were track miles, we're talking about a very low mile car with minimal track time, which was probably just lapping at a DE at 7/10ths. As long as their isnt any rock chips or anything in the paint, which I doubt, I would seriously consider this car. That being said, you may have already done you're homework and chose to not to gt that car based on rock chips and scrapes in the cabin from harnesses on the seats etc. i guess I'm just saying if it's perfect dont let the fact it's been on a track scare you. Good luck in your search, that's a very special car you're after, enjoy it in good health once you get it!

my 0.02
Do a thorough PPI and if all good, go for it.
IMO, a little track use won't harm these cars...

A LOT of rock chips in paint guys. That's why it didn't work for me. Bob

Well, certainly you are looking for a bit of a unicorn.... or maybe "white whale" (moby dick reference) is a better anology... I am sure that you have seen this car... it has the red seats... which could be fixed/changed out... I think at some point you have to decide where you can compromise and fix...I mean, you could easy enough remove the red parts, bubble wrap them, replace with black OEM and be on your way... yes it has the axle lift, but big deal...

Makes sense Bob, I definitely understand why you passed it up if that's the case. Best of luck on your search!

It pains me to think how many 4.0's are being held hostage in a garage. These cars deserve to be taken to the track.
