I did my first event at VIR last week. This is an awesome track! The pavement is the smoothest I have felt...maybe as smooth as COTA. I think it's a great track for GT3's...a lot of high speed stuff but technically challenging too. I got a high 2:06 on my second day on Nitto's. A lot of time to be gained from there but I had a close call on the first right hander in the climbing esses so that stuck in my head the whole time.
The whole facility is really nice too. Food, drink, lodging, everything you need is on the property.

+ on VIR.. More time there running in chump cup 24 hour race than I do in my GT3.. Different track for Chump set up for due to high speed and POS cars.... You know what some folks take to those races...

Anyways, my favorite track on the east... Still getting used to no oak tree...

MVEZ.. You are never going to look at Putnam park the same now....

I believe ProCoach said 2 to 3 secs faster after repave. Still an awesome time for first trip there. That 1st right in the climbing ssss's cost me a few $$$ in 09.
