Great to see you and a warm welcome to the bay! djazzy you've come to the right part of the country eh? Plus James is a Canadian so he could use some company!

I need to visit that tunnel. I've got this thing for tunnels. Loud things.. yep

up skyline to Alice. good scenery. no crazy driving, didn't hit deers or ambutate mt fellow cyclists. only scared with into cow tipping off clip less cleats. they will survive to win TdF.

Alice omelette was much needed with bacon as my choked trial was dangerously low. the donuts and fatty bacon will help.

spent all my money on cars, empty wallet had to have Alex spot me for lunch.... did I say Alex drives slow??? brunch turned into lunch.....
two hours to go 29 miles.....amd he had a fast car... imagine him in Prius... we b having midnight snack when we hit Alice's.

well Alex of sharkwerks spotted my bill and picked the whole tab... of course he moonlight for google, at $1000+ must feel good...
but that's a great gesture despite him outranking zuckleberg on Forbes. T H A N K Y O U.

btw, next weekends brunch is at French lingerie ( is that a typo or it's it).... I'm still poor and Alex will be there. we should join him

btw, we all signed waiver at sharkeys. if u ate, u are obligated for 3.8 build.

mooty is a myth. he ain't real
LOL our pleasure man Captain Responsible here... James wouldn't have me put the hammer down. I did a couple of time and he gave me the 1000 yard stare. He said he can fix bugs and stuff on the bumper but not Cyclists going 60kph I figured hey... if I go fast he'll get sea sick and mess up the alcantara. Then I'd probably never be allowed on a bicycle again. So I plodded along behaving (I usually don't) and setting an example that not all Ferrari drivers are bean poles! That's why I always need more power.

LOL and if we leave at 6am we might even miss the biker crowd and have some room to really swim

hey KMW- thanks for coming! I always loved your matte white ride. It's been one of my favorite RS' we've had the pleasure of tinkering with. It was so cool that people got to see it. Honestly people from all over have emailed/called and pointed to your project page. First thing they ask is about the color/wrap:
http://sharkwerks.com/porsche/997-gt...d-rollbar.html

I'll always remember that week... Somehow we had your matte white stunner along with a matte white GT2RS as well:

Thank you Alex for hosting the morning. You are a shining example of what a great shop should be. I've dealt with so many in LA and I don't think one has your approachability and level of helpfulness. I now need to find an excuse to give you some of my money. Shouldn't be hard

Armando: I signed up for your mailing list. I tried those delicious almond cubes at the last Thunderhill event and was hooked. I think I ate about 6 while no one was looking. To try them fresh this morning was divine. Can't wait to patronize your store the moment you open. I will have to obviously add a workout routine so I can still fit in the buckets.

Thanks to all the rest who showed up and made this a day I won't soon forget.
hey chrisf those words mean a lot to us- they really do. Great to meet you and NorCal is a bit different (I spent two years in LA.. or was it 3?) but I promise you this bunch of GT3'ers/rennlisters is as passionate and helpful as they come. So you're right at home! In 03 there was a chance that Shark Werks could have started in SoCal or indeed other areas but I just couldn't leave the Bay Area and so it happened here for a reason. I still remember the rennlist and yahoo group 6am Alice drives in 2001-2004. No traffic and we bombed it as best as we could sans Brioche no less. In 01 I was a total outcast in a "shock-horror" water-cooled 996TT (10 second, drag-racing tip no less) driving, talking and sometimes tracking with all the cool air-cooled 993/993TT's rennlisters who treated me nothing like a red-headed step-child. Maybe they felt sorry for me but I remember them then as I do now and a lot of those folks were there today in GT3s of some sort. Now who's laughing eh

Don't worry about the money. It's only money but if it does come this way it'll likely go towards Brioche in SF, exquisite strippers for Mooty, more expensive and higher grade toilet roll for James, 100 octane for me, F1 tickets for Dan and whatever we have left-over to Larry's favorite rescue dog charity. Oh R&D for gt3s too.

PS Ask Tye and Mooty for those seat protectors. I just ordered some too! I don't want to buy new ones next year because they'll probably cost 18K or something.

Thank you so much Chris. One more reason why it made sense for Arsicault to start at Sharkey's is that it turns out that Alex and I are in the same business: putting smiles on people's faces. Whether flour or displacement, it's all the same!

Folks, I'm so bloomin' grateful to have hung out with you crazy bunch of gt3 nerds and hooligans this am. Thank you ever so much and really sorry about the super-short notice too. I'm really overwhelmed with all the fun stories, catching-up and motley crew that you are. The pix keep coming in so I'll work on that on Monday! To have you all in one place at the same time instead of one or two at a time was a real treat. I think some of you might even have something in common eh? We're weird and we know it but you guys somehow accept us just how we are.... It's very very humbling.

Thank you Armando. I'm from Europe (or at least the Island that doesn't really think it's part of Europe) and spent many months in the Italian alps et. al over the years. For what my 2000 lire and 2 cents is worth I think that I've had a good Brioche or two in my time. Mooty was right that Brioche was delish! It made me think back to my childhood and the smells, texture of my best friend's grandma who must have been at least 100 at the time (99.9 per cent of those years was spent baking and cooking). Her Alpine oven and cooking set up outlasted two world wars but she also made a mean Brioche. I know she would have been seriously impressed and taken at least a day or two off to have you run things! Your bread.. you had to be there. Just don't forget us lil' people when you're running around in 992 GT3RS' and 918s eh? I'll be visiting your place and so will anyone I know. If I can't find it I'll look for a Bakery with a GT3 of some sort parked in back and I'll know I found the right place. Your Cayenne delivery vehicle is great but I have to say in this case I'm voting for the original lightweight RS spec 1906 barn find model.

Mooty the man, the myth and the legend. He's for real. Cheers as always mate!

jbibelow you came all the way from Sactown and brought a very special guest indeed. What a treat. Everyone was so stoked. Everything I've read/heard is true and you can tell he wears it on his sleeve/face. Nakai San is very passionate and hopefully seeing all those H20 cooled cars made intercepted his brain waves RWB invasion!

Larry you know where I stand on dogs so I do hope you weren't late to that protest? And if you were I have a nice Biodegradable doggie-poop bag (used courtesy of the official sharkwerks security dog) for you to slap someone with. Thanks man my day's are always good when I see a bit of MeCHico blue!

Tye we can talk GT3s and REAL football all day mate.

Everyone on here and not that came. Big cheers to you all.

And if there's one thing I know it's this- the rear-engine manual is a-ok and in good hands. We're not going away quietly that's for sure!
Alex,

I won't add anything :-) It's all in the PMs!

As Mooty and I were saying, I guess we all need to get motor builds now to show our appreciation

Thanks to everyone for coming out and making it a safe and enjoyable day and drive. How many of you have rocks inside your car from that one segment of the drive

And nothing like cyclists bombing down the middle of the road full speed towards us.

Look forward to getting everyone together again soon.
Sorry I missed this one earlier but you get a bump mate Our pleasure and we'll have to do this again sometime and really get our rocks flying.

I woulda have loved to have played with you on the left in our prime

Thank you everyone for coming out, it was a very fun way to spend our Saturday! Thanks again Armando for bringing all those home baked goodies, I loved the bread and square treats the best I was getting tired from the traffic on highway 1 but that tunnel made it worth it, epic sound from the 3.9L in there Sorry for kicking rocks up near 84, lol
