Default Getting more power from .2 RS Engine

Ok so the 997.2 GT3RS engine is rated roughly at 450 hp. The 4.0 is rated roughly 500 hp. Is there a way to lower that delta and bring up the power on the RS? I know that the two engines are the same bore, but the 4.0 has a longer stroke due to the RSR crankshaft. Is it possible to put this bad boy in the RS to do the same? What else? Any and everything to massage a bit more from that engine!

Supersprint headers with 200cell cats, Akra or similar center exhaust, 4.0 airbox or similar (intake manifold as well if you really want to get fancy), and ECU reflash. That should close half the delta.

I agree with the above ... except
We'll have to agree to disagree on the headers. I say M&M headers instead.
Possibly go catless with a center section.

I've seen how strong a 3.8 gets with M&M headers and exhaust with the ecu flash

M&M is Keyser Soze endorsed so I can't disagree that it's quality product. I just think Supersprint's stepped, long-tube header design is better at making torque and power across the rev range.

Catless is the way to go if you don't have to worry about emissions.

Nizer, Keyser Soze passed away a couple montha ago Poor guy but it was his time.
The Supersprint headers are nice. Heck run SS headers on my E60 M5 w/ 2 citations for loudness btw.
I tried to work w/ SS for the RS project but they blew me off.

+1 Saw it in person same day same dyno and EVOMsit tune. More power and torque across the curve and very smooth.

This is a before and after from a previously tuned 3.8RS with Porsche Cup exhaust comparing with
M&M headers and full exhaust and a custom tune to fit the modifications.
For reference a stock 4.0 on the same dyno marked in the 450 whp range.

Here is the same combo (M&M headers, exhaust and tune) on the camera car, following a 4.0 with M&M exhaust (stock headers) This 4.0 was bumped from 450s to 474 WHP, so Imagine that the delta would be smaller if compared to stock car.

I run a custom catless header and custom tune with stock mufflers. I get pretty good power increase, more torque from 3500 and above and it is not too loud in normal mode, sport mode is loud...and I like it.

That Superspint system looks very nice.

What about putting an RSR or similar crank in? Doable?
