Default Need a new guy

In desperate need of a shop to work on my car, any suggestions in the tri-state area would be much appreciated.

I swear by Dan Jacobs in Oxford, CT and TKX in Huntington, LI. Those are the only two shops I will ever use.

I hear Rennwerke is good as well, but do not have any first hand experience.

I've heard a lot of people recommend him over the years, he's just too far away.

Dan Jacobs is worth the trip. Done once, done right. He even offers pick up and delivery service. I also recommend Spenser *** at Speedsport....he is in CT, too and offers p/u and delivery, I believe.

There are lots of good shops out there. I have met many of them over the years. I have tried small and i have tried large. But Gordon Friedman at Autometrics Motorsports in SC is top notch. Depending on your range of car use, it may not make sense with the distance. But they know Porsche. Suspension. Tires. Best engine and transmission builds. Very loyal to their clients. And their clients are loyal to them!

TKX is a few miles away from the Huntington LIRR stop. I'm sure someone can pick you up/ drop you off.

+1 on Autometrics. I bought the motor in my GT3 (3.8 Cup bottom end) from them. Very strong.
