The ultimate 4 or 5 seater car for gt3 owner
So, I have this E60 M5 with Dinan stroker engine which really, really hauls ***. It is a fantastic car with a high revving v10 that roars all the way to 8500rpm. Until I got the gt3, I thought this was probably the best engine in the world (especially considering it was in a 4 door, 5 seater car). I still think it is a very good engine but compared the mezger, it feels a little lazy
So that brings me to my question, which 4 or 5 seater cars come close to the urgency of gt3, in terms of their naturally aspirated high revving characteristics, their well balanced handling and plain hooliganism on the road?
I don't want to tilt this one way or another by proposing some cars that I think might be good candidates, but once we get going, I will share my ideas.

if you're willing to consider the actual car - vs. how it's powered - the Tesla Model S is very very impressive - fast, handles really well, seats 5 - but it might be too quiet for you…
don't knock it till you drive it - I love mine.

1. E9x M3
2. Tesla Model S
3. Ferrari FF
4. Audi RS5 (and RS4 or RS6 if available)
5. Lexus IS-F
Plus several others. Currently leaning towards M3.

The S85 and S65 engines are pretty crazy for child movers. Hard to beat 420Hp and 8500rpm in a 3500lb sedan.

Drive the Model S Peformance 85 - or Performance +85 - and there is no going back…
literally "no one" has come out of ride/drive of my P85 and gone "meh" - it's more like - "holy sh*t - thats the best car I've ever driven" - hard core petrol heads…
very very little beats 454 ft/lbs of torque @ zero RPM…
the couple of M3's that have pulled up next to me at a stop light - have tried and failed - one guy took some serious convincing - 3 lights later we pulled over and had a chat…he was impressed to say the least. 911 Turbo's and Panamera Turbo's are some of the few cars that can hold there own…
most wicked 5 seater you'll ever drive = Tesla Model S P85…

and the few cars that can hold a candle are 2x and 3x more $$$…
if you limit yourself to the 80-120k range - I seriously can't think of anything that comes close in performance, handling, cost to run, cargo capacity, people capacity, or long term maint. cost…

Just as a frame of reference for this discussion - from Wikipedia
"The Model S Signature model with a 85 kWh pack rated by EPA has a top speed of 125 mph (201 km/h) and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds.[6] The Model S Signature Performance model has a top speed of 130 mph (210 km/h) and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds, while the base 60 kW·h battery model has a top speed of 120 mph (190 km/h) and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds.[42]"

4.2 is conservative - but not entirely inaccurate - for purposes of this discussion I would limit the conversation to the P85 or P85+ -many many testers have done better than 4.2 - with some reporting 3.9…
the thing to remember is since there is no shifting 4.2/4.0 is achievable with virtually no effort or skill…just mash the pedal and let the AC-Induction motor do the rest…
top speed is very limited on the P85 (135 mph) - so that comparision the Model S loses hands down - but used as a daily driver - I think it's hard to argue that a top speed of 135 is "limiting" - but technically speaking there are ICE (Internal Combustion Engines) that will go way faster from a top speed point of view…but again I really don't like the idea of going much over 100 in normal non-track circumstances so the Model S is more than adequite - and gets you there very very quickly…
it's important also to consider that any ICE car that can come close to a Model S in terms of performance is a 12-14 MPG car vs. the Model S's 90+ MPG…super fast, super efficient, super comfy, super roomy…again for it's category/price I consider it to be very very competitive…
I'm new the EV crowd (past 2 years) but now that I've done it I find it hard to consider a gas car over an EV…

E9X M3 or C63 AMG would get my vote.

There is only one option for 5 people S65.
Drive it and you will buy it. Pretty discreet, ultimate people mover.
More flashy but less good Bently or RR. Panamera Turbo S is good, but 4 people only and I'd take the V12tt
