Default 997.2 GT3RS loosing water

Hi there. Seems my 7.2 RS has started to loose water. When driven hard, you can smell coolant odor and residue can be seen in area around the fill reservoir. (I run water wetter for the record.) I've needed to top of reservoir the last 2 track days out where it took about 1 qt each time. Anybody out there w/ similar experiences? Since it only just started recently, I'm thinking a problem somewhere as opposed to pressure relief / overflow, etc.

Residue is around the cap? Maybe just get a new cap and see if that fixes it. You can pressure test the system, I have a pressure tester to find leaks other places, but it seems you may have your smoking gun already

Most likely reservoir cap, they go bad all the time.

Thanks Jamie / Trackcar. I'll try on a new cap then Yes, residue is around the cap. Appreciate your responses.

The disc valve on the coolant line leading into the transmission cooler also has been known to develop a slow leak. You will have to remove the 2 rear underbody panels to eyeball the valve. x
