2nd owner, I bought it from PorscheExchange (4/2011) in Chicago who claimed the notchy trans was fine (per their two "master techs").
Difficulty shifting was reported to Porsche when new from original owner (Texas) and it was not replaced; so he sold it to PorscheExchange who CPO'd it on Ebay.
I bought it off Ebay and made a stink to PCNA and Autohaus Pa got from Porsche a new GT3 trans (as no rebuilts were available). CPO has since expired. Two problems, front airspoiler is ugly as well as rear exhaust pipe plastic. Also, AC is now blowing hot air. just like last year and it was fixed (new pressure switch). After getting a new trans I can't complain. Trans GT3 are north of $13k$ ! Now shifts like butter. Sadly, the tire pressure system when fixed will be ok for about two weeks (now unfixed yet again). P-Dealer refuses to deactivate the wireless tire pressure system as they claim it is a State Inspection requirement in Pa. PRICE: Somewhere north of $70k$, otherwise it sits here until the cows come home. Oh, never tracked and no over-revs (which is why I bought it in 4/2012). New to me 993 TT (Silver, not pictured) is my new love (purchased from Rennlister two months ago). I forgot to mention, no Rear Main Oil Seal Leaks !!!!!!!

I think the car will show a lot better if you replace the front spoiler and rear exhaust piece, wash, and then take pictures. I imagine your car cleans up nicely, but my first impression looking at the pictures you posted wasn't positive.

Least motivated GT3 seller I've yet to see, based on these photos.
edit: I need to add, that if cleaned up both on the exterior and interior, it would look great. I like the black on black stripe.

Was thinking the same. Maybe there is a back-story here. I could see myself doing this... wife gets wired up over something, says too many cars on the farm, get rid of a couple... post for sale ad, explain to wife I'm trying to sell, its listed, bad economy, whatever, no bites, but its just a ploy... keep the wife happy, keep me happy with the p-car.
