Default 997.2 GT3 Battery Part #'s

Looks like my OEM battery has given up the ghost. Can someone confirm the following:

1. Bosch direct fit replacement part # (Pep Boys solution)
2. Interstate direct fit as MTP-91 (with vent kit)
3. Any others?

Thanks

Kornmaster: can you verify part number and OE fitment?

My OEM finally died too. OEM: $$$! Interstate: MTP-94R = @$180. Walmart Everstart MAXX H7(Made by Johnson Controls) = $127. Costco: #30 = $148.

How do I check part number on battery? If I open the battery cover, will it say anything on the sticker or label without taking out the battery? My indy just put it in for me last year. FYI, bought my car 2 years old from original owner.. First month, car died. So I think oem lasts about 2-2.5 yrs. Car had 9k street miles since Sept 09

Fitment - just drops in like oem. I paid about $180.. More crank power than oem too.

Thanks guys. I grabbed an Interstate MTP-91 and it fit perfectly. Just had to rig a vent kit of my own with some tubing and step-down connector.

Bought a Bosch battery part #49-850B to replace the dead OEM battery in my 997.2 GT3. It's about two inches wider. While it fits in the tray fine, it covers up the threaded hole for the mount, and the vent hose doesn't fit. Did Pep Boys sell me the wrong battery, or is there a workaround for the vent and mount. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

It is the wrong size. You need a 55H sized battery. Sounds like you have a 60 or 65.

If I'm not mistaken, Porsche will replace the battery under warranty if you still have warranty and drive at least a certain amount of miles per year. When my battery died I was going to go with Interstate MTP-91 but then when I got to the dealership I found out that they would replace the battery with an OEM one for free.

Default Interstate MTP-94R/H7

noticed some small leakage on edge so swapped out my battery

for my 2010 GT3, the Interstate MTP-94R/H7 ($165) was a nice fit. it seemed larger than the old interstate (don't know model) it was replacing and they were able to hook up tubing that was already there from the old battery. despite the leak, i stayed with the brand because the old one never actually let me down (my driving habits are ~1 / week with occasional extended travel ~ 2 weeks).
