I visualized your previous model just fine. No offense, but IMO you simply started with some incorrect assumptions.
Incorrect assumptions eh? You might want to take the time and make the effort to do homework.

305/30-20" Dunlop Sport Maxx Race:
Section width 12.3"
Overall diameter 26.3"

325/30-19" MPSC
Section width 12.3"
Overall diameter 26.3"

I'm sure you'll want to argue the manufacturers published specifications now?

Enrique, thank you for trying to deal in facts. Thankfully you and Rad are still offering some objective voices. I'm back to exile, good luck with the Kool-Aide crowd...

Not sure why the 'tude is necessary, but since you brought up the subject of homework you need to recheck yours; it appears your numbers are incorrect on the MPSC's. No need to argue. You can refer to the link to the Michelin site below. Just FYI it shows the 325x30x19 with an OD of 26.7 (not 26.3) and a section width of 13" (not 12.3) on an 11.5" rim (the 4.0 has 12" wide rear wheels). If there's a different set of manufacturer's specs maybe you can link to them; we may have a discrepancy. But it does make sense that a tire with a published 325mm section width would be wider than one with a 305mm width, even taking differences in brands into account.

http://www.michelinman.com/tire-sele...ails#techspecs

BTW, the assumptions I was referring to were the numbers chosen for the efficiency of each upshift and downshift, not the tire size.

Relax, have some Kool-Aide.

Unfortunately that's not always the truth. For example a hoosier 255 is a lot wider than a RA-1 255. That being said it can happen with any brand. Need to measure yourself, otherwise you will never know the truth.
All in all I'm looking forward to the new car even with all negative facts (at least negative to me) I'll most likely wait a little longer and let someone take the initial hit.
I believe it will be a great car.

I was thinking the same..3 years ago he loved the RS because it had grandma manual gearbox...would be interesting why then in he end the 991 GT3 would be better..Im sure he will phrase it that way...

But I dont believe in car journalists anyway....not anymore.

By the way..forget the gt3.

If you want a manual, get the ruf. This is the ultimate 911.

"Ultimate" is one of those words that means a thing is in perpetual obsolescence.

When Porsche delivers a flat 8 in a 911 configuration, I'll take one.

Um, yeah. I'd rather spend 300k on a CGT too.

There is no comparison.
The GT3 and Porsches ran all weekend,
The 458 endured 2 sessions, then the dash
Lit up...
