Default RSS Tarmac kit on my 2007 GT3RS

Just got the car back from the dealer after having the full RSS Tarmac kit including semi-solid engine mounts installed. First thing I noticed was agreement with the tech who stated the car felt "much tighter". It indeed is as solid as a rock, and unbelievably, rides smoother over a commonly traveled piece of very bumpy road. Noise seems the same so far, so no problem there. What I really like is the sensation that the front wheels are very directly connected to the steering wheel - no play or slop whatsoever. The motor mounts have even affected the 2 to 3 upshift as it feels slightly different - not sure if necessarily any better, but different. Overall, it feels as though I have a brand new and tight car.

I know you noted that the noise seems the same. Are you talking about squeaks from the RSS suspension bits or just any added noise/vibration/harshness from the engine as a result of the new engine mounts? I'm curious how much, if any, squeaks and creaks the suspension stuff makes. TIA.

I heard a couple little squeaks and clicks, but nothing that caused any concern. No additional harshness from the engine mounts. So far, so good.

The "kit" is actually made up of a series of individual parts. It consists of both sets of rear links (total of 6 pieces), the front toe steering links, front and rear lower control arms, and motor mounts. I think that is everything. It replaces anything with rubber bushings front and rear. Of course it must all be realigned after installation. I set everything to factory specs.

Jim, Can you please comment on who did the installation and # of hours required. Thanks, Allan

My dealer charged me $1200 to install all of it including the full alignment. Took about 2 days to do.

how does this affect the usability on a daily driver?... or is this purely for a track car?

if you don't track the car, you don't need it.

You may not NEED it, but it definitely makes the car feel tighter and more precise. Personally, I think it is well worth it.
