Hello SoCal...for real this time
Well, I took a little roadtrip this weekend. After renting a room and commuting back and forth from Sacramento to OC for a whole year, I finally got my own shoebox down here.
I said farewell to my shop access in Sac, as I managed to get in one last oil and spark plug change Friday night, and onto the trailer the GT3 went. As a note, the U-haul trailer works very well with some 4x4s and x2 boards for a narrow-body GT3. I only had a half inch of clearance at the rear axle, so a widebody car just wouldn't fit at all.
My first time pulling a trailer - ever. Went well, although the wind did not sleep and I-5 was a game of frogger with 5 foot tall tumbleweeds. Hilarious watching frantic econo-boxes trying to dodge the weeds as if they were stones.
All moved in...sort of...and looking forward to being more active in the SoCal Porsche community! Day 1 - no complaints about my stereo - great success.

Those 88db/1w/1m gallos have overheated my amp many times. Still waiting for that great deal on some krell fpbs to come up on audiogon
They really come to life with the second low-pass amp driving the second voice coils.

LOL I was going back and forth on the I-5 the past few days and I dodged tons of tumbleweeds as well.
BTW now I know the owner of the Uhaul with GT3 I saw on the road!
Small World. I'm with PCA San Diego/Grand prix and Porsche Owners Club for my track fix. Check them out n good luck!

Serge, welcome to the OC. Were you by chance driving up Jamboree past the back bay yesterday afternoon (5ish?)
There are a few Rennlist GT3 owners out here. Maybe I'll see you at C&C one of these days.
Cheers,
Daniel - 996 GT3

That was me. Small world, huh! I lived on the Newport Beach peninsula for a year, and haven't really seen many GT3s driving around on the streets. An arctic silver 996 gt3 was my most frequent sighting.
