Are these the same 997.2 GMG dive planes originally bought by mrm930 that GMG wouldn't exchange for him for the proper 997.1 version which he ordered so he sold them on the forums at a loss?

Not really a win for GMG in my book....

Yes it is. It's a win for me. Almost the same day they were listed I bought them. James offered to help out and posted as such, but by that time they were sold.

I'm not sure the issues the original purchaser had, but he lost $100 in the resale plus shipping. I, on the other hand could have been out over $500 if GMG hadn't exchanged it for me.

Your comment that Safronas offered to help out? Well that was only after the member had to come on the forum and tell how he was treated. Then after the court of public opinion spoke ... oh then there's a post to address the issue.Well to late.
Man why do so many think they walk on water. What was done for you was there bare minimum by business standards. I guess NASA and the drone makers couldn't make a set for the .1RS owner?
So that's nice. Your win is a members loss.

Ranger: please don't question my integrity. I gave the original purchaser time to work things out and would have happily backed off the deal. I recd goods that didn't fit, I took it as an honest mistake, never hassled the seller and worked through GMG to solve the issue.

I could have be cynical and blamed the seller that he somehow knew the parts were bad and who knows where he got them. But that's not my style and any one who knows me knows I don't work that way.

Yea, I got screwed by James on a different issue. Wouldn't do business with them again.

Glad you had a good experience with them, but not everyone does, unfortunately. Just FYI.

^Clearly! I've never bought anything from them directly, but there seem to be a lot of haters here and I'm getting some misdirected fire...

They took care of me with I part I didn't buy from them, that deserves a thank-you in my book.

I wouldn't sweat it. You have every right to post a positive experience with a vendor. I had a good experience with them as well. This is a tough crowd...........now about those drums....wow!

The lesson to be learned from Montoya's experience here is that paying GMG customers get poor/no service, but non-paying customers get the normal service one expects from any company in business these days.

I'm never sure of who said what and why in an open forum. However I can say GMG built up my GT2 and did a great job, when my guys wanted to further enhance the car all of the vendors were more than happy to send us parts and accept back those we did not use since we were doing a major build.

Advice form GMG has always been first class, they have directed me to some of their own suppliers for some parts that we needed. I have had first class service, honest purchases, and they have stood behind everything we bought.

I'm sure there are those who have had issues, however we have not and I think that needs to be said. They have been around for a long time, and I trust they will continue to be here to add values to their service for years to come.
