NCAL DE CUP
What's a nice medium between racing and driver education? DE Cup with friends of course. There is nothing better than getting to run with bunch of fast track nuts with various power plant and driving characteristics to test your skill and ability to cope with challenges on track. Last weekend we had GT3 Cup mix with 996 and 997 GT3/RS, Cayman, S2000, Corvette and amazingly our lap time were with in couple seconds which makes it fun to dice things up. We were fortunate to have driver with racing experience like Gordon to give instruction to newbies and generous help from friends when we had mechanical issues not to mention gourmet cooking from expert chef like Armando - I have never seen anyone make pancake (thin pancake) over BBQ
Count yourself lucky if you can hold something similar in your region with bunch of dedicated track nuts. There will be another DE Cup at Buttonwillow raceway in 4 weeks. Look forward to participate in couple more DE Cup this year
Here is a video from past weekend DE Cup at Thunderhill

Ok, so how do I get inducted into the infamous NorCal DE Cup? I finally have the right trailer and the right car to join the cool kids. Now I suppose I just need to actually make it to an event with you guys and am seriously considering BW over memorial day. Who's putting that one on?
Looks like you guys have some fun out there and looking forward to finally meeting everyone at some point...hopefully it will be this year

Yes, that came about by master Gordon's design. To him all GT3 are VW bug with big ***
I told Armando there is no such thing as very thin pancake in Chinese ... So I call it less thickness pancake
Gordy is in contact with China sweat shop to make more ...
Nice racing (blocking) ...
Too culture for me. I am more Anthony Bourdain no reservation
Just come join us at our DE events and come say hi and hang out. If you are nice and drive very fast on track then we will show you the secret hand shake. We may make you wear a Corvette racing T shirt for a day just to see if you can handle the pressure
Good idea. We need more good doctor and fast driver like yourself. With the price of a single carport at San Diego you can buy a 5000 sq ft home in my neck of the woods .... Just don't live near mooty. His HOA require you to change GT3 RS every 6 months

Mooty and i worked it out. I live in trailer parked on his street. He lets me come in twice a day for food and water, and every other day to shower. On weekends i do yard work and wash cars.
