Transmission fluid and oil change - cost?

+1 for mobil delvac, just recently put it in my 7.1 GT3 and the trans sounds / feels much better. They should only be charging 1hr labor, so $200-$250 all in cost is reasonable.

Changing your own oil is easy. I dont even jack up my car to do it, I have a low profile oil catch that i can slide right under. I would never pay 200 bucks to have my oil changed. If you would like me to show you how to do it yourself sometime let me know.

I have Mobil 1 synthetic gear lube 75W90 in the past and started having 2nd gear synchro issues. Especially in the low and high (track related) temperature ranges.
The gurus on this (the guys at G-BOX in Boulder CO) pointed out that the Porsche PTX transaxle stuff really is specially formulated for our type of transmissions and well worth the extra $$.

See my DIY. Draining the transaxle is easy but filling it up is harder to do, especially without a lift.
