+1 for an update and pics on Father's Day.

 

car is still at body/paint shop - which is very far from my house so I haven't seen it for a while. Apparently they changed the plan and decided to finish the body/paint and then bring it back to the mechanical shop for the build. Maybe one day next week it will be back.
My Foyer is full of UPS deliveries -- piles of boxes of parts from Stoddard and ebay and Pelican.

 

Is it still looking like it will be ready for Father's Day?

 

yes, I am sure it will be ready.
the shop is now prepping race cars for PCA club race at Watkins Glen so even if mine was at the shop it wouldn't be getting worked on.
After club race they will attack it.
And then in the last week they will scramble.
And then on the last day they will stay up all night until at least midnight or later.
And then when it is supposed to be being loaded in the trailer... probably another 4 to 8 hours.
So I will end up a day behind schedule. lol

Each week, same story - car will be back on Friday from paint shop. Car MUST be done by the 14th of June. Less than 10 working days. So I made the long hike through DC traffic to the body shop. Here is what I saw:
