Same color, same wheels I also had the fabspeed exhaust, the X-73(best non ride height adjustable suspension I ever owned!), the GT3 seats, roll bar etc.

I had the .2 996 to your .1 and now you have the .2 997 to my .1

Thanks Jenner. Just checked on prices thru 2 Kool Performance and shipped to my house they will run $1540.00 all in for the NT01 315 & 245.
Sound about right?
May be an option for OP

My friend; Let me summarize the above.

R888 is total garbage
You might as well run Supersports on 19".
Spend $900.00 a set for NT01 front and RA1 rear combo, we shaved to perfection.

Friends dont let friends drive R888. It should be discontinued.

Friends tell friends to PM Izzone and buy his stash @ $225ea, about the same as the NT01's 245/40/18 go for. Before they are gone..

Thanks for the advice. I PMd Izzone and also ordered a set of MPSS for my stock wheels. What a great forum.

You can't run nannies with a .2 gt3 and nt01.

Why not? (genuine question I am interested)

I run Michelin slicks and run with and without nannies and I have found no major issues either way

Tire ratio freaks out the traction and stability control. Almost undriveable. Firing everywhere. Tried it at COTA two weeks ago. Turn it off and tires are great on the .2.

Hey Jenner.. Or should I say my brother from another mother...

You have Great taste in cars.. How have you found the transition from 996 to Gt3 ?

I may follow your recommendation with a mixed nitto combo instead of R888's..

Trakcar, I really appreciate your advice about friends not letting friends drive on R888's.
I'm sure you don't remember but we met last summer at Mt. Tremblant..

Thanks everyone..

I'm not one to give advice on tires or set up, but same thing happened to me at Roebling first time on new nittos. Could literally hear it firing all around track. Part could be over driving, but it hasn't happened again since first day.just my humble .02$.

I don't understand all the bashing on r888's. I use them and have tons of grip on the track. Wouldn't recommend them for the street. Haven't used NT01's yet. This may sound ridiculous but every time I've felt a used NT01 it just seems too hard. Reminds me of run flats in the winter. Bad experience

Does anyone know if the NT01's are wide for their size? I'm thinking 245/40/18 front or 275/35/18 front on 9.5x18 BBS race wheels. 275's F might work, but only if the tire is fairly narrow. I've tried MPSC 265/35/18 front and that worked with minor rubbing on full lock (993turbo). On tire rack it says that the MPSC (265) and the Nitto (275) both have the same section width (10.9"). So should be fairly close since MPSC are quite wide for their size. Even though the 245/40/18 is narrower, it's still taller than the 265/35/18.
