I wish that's true but I highly doubt any insurance company cover none race DE events. I will contact state farm to see if that's the case

I have state farm and that is exactly what my agent told me - they will cover non timed non race events. I do not count on this but it makes me feel better than telljng me no track coverage.

It also depends on degree of modification. It's harder to get coverage if you have cage, slicks and no interior

I am interested. will switch to state farm if they do cover DE. Love to sign this song when I bury my car in tire wall

Really want to do the TT with you guys this year

Rant begins...
- just don't want to go 1000 miles round trip and be stuck in student sessions for two days. I respect each organization has to protect themselves from unknown drivers that can be dangerous at speed, but the process for experienced out of town drivers can be frustrating. I recently spent the weekend in November at THill with the BMW club and the sign off to Solo kind of cut into the weekend. Don't get me wrong, I always learn something, but not when following really slow cars and/or really slow drivers. Oh, and nobody touches my wheel while I'm driving at speed on the track- this seems to be a new technique that some instructors are encouraged to use...I'm really going to look into getting my SCCA or PCA Club racing license as a way around a lot of this stuff...
Rant ends...

Put my questions to the DE chair first to see how things will work, and hopefully I'll be going- the main thing is that I want to be able to participate in the TT, otherwise I won't go.

Corresponded with the DE chair and everything is cool. Sorry to come off sounding like a douche on the previous post, just still smarting a little from the BMW club event in terms of mismatched expectations.

I'm registering now, hope I'm ready in time! Really looking forward to meeting everyone!

point by's for DE. Don't have to worry about them for TT because highly unlikely that you'll ever see another car. Club Racers follow race rules.

Hey montoya. I total understand where you are coming from. BMW club is a total fail and they make a stink when new driver join them and make everyone start with beginner group regardless of experience. Yes, you are right, some of the BMW instructor actually grab your wheel on track and what a horrible way to teach that's why I never went back after one try. GGR PCA is totally cool. They will work with you even if you are new. Hope you can join our group of fast cars in the advance group and you will have a blast
