Excellent - 335/265/18 BFG R1s fit like a glove on the RS

Did you get any behind me? LOL...I could not find my camera charger...then I borrowed Globe's and left my camera plugged in to it on his garage bench...so no videos all weekend

Likely not, I had the dern Solo misconfigured for a point to point event, so it didn't pick up the track, and therefor didn't start the video. I fixed this late Sat.

Finally got some video off the system. Could only find a couple 52s on video, but the solo got my last session with a 51 before the TPMS went off with a flat tire warning.
Solo shows my progression from the first event with the 911 in Dec...into heat cycled hoosiers, then onto the BFGs last sunday afternoon. While it's my first 911, I've driven thousands of laps on this track...like VR.

This is why he followed me in a previous session. It also helped him clean up his braking timing & profile here as well. This entry into 1 is very effective and fast for several reasons.

Yes, you did a great job of it for it being Day One at TWS!!!
The thing with T1/T2 there is really thinking through what you want the car's attitude to be--meaning where it is pointed--in order for the car to work easily in turning in a bit more for T2. And then think backwards to the main straightaway and figure how to set up & enter the complex to get the car's attitude where it needs to be.

thanks, it was really fun trying to learn that track. with it being open track i didnt even realize i did 18 laps before randy threw his arm out saying he was coming in to pit.
turn 1, i went off your video and hearing how rough a transition it can be if you come off the banking and a higher point

The higher line has never felt comfortable to me at those speeds, I don't like the idea of loading up the right rear at 145, crossing a very rough transition, and then braking while turning slightly - seems like only a good plan if you goal is out-ball the other driver currently occupying the low line. I've seen guys do it and swear by it, but I've also been in a couple student's car where it went horribly wrong.
VR reminded me of a line I used to take in my old E46, shifting the braking zone way later, putting your wheels in the grass while full trottle, turning a bit around the corner and then braking....even later than I'm trying in those laps.
There is a lot more speed though 2 possible, I think you could exit (end of yellow curbing at track out) at 115 with all this downforce. I'm about the same speed as the E90 M3 I used to track, so it's all currently in my head - I need to learn how to use downforce and the rear grip on this beast.
