Default Copper Header Gaskets and bolts

Anybody know a source for some high quality copper header gaskets and bolts?

I think the turbo bolts are stainless steel...could be wrong

whats wrong with OEM.....there is very little tourqe on teh bolts

Nothing I suppose....copper seals pretty good and is the priced same price, or cheaper than OEM. Seems that Fabspeed quit selling their copper gaskets.

I guess I'll just re-use my bolts and get another gasket.

You can re use your bolts. They only torque to like 16 pounds or something like that. Suncoast has OEM GT3 header gaskets for cheap. Picked up a set a few months ago. They're weird looking as they're two gaskets pinch welded together so it looks like you bought 4.

Get the stainless steel bolts from the turbo, the ones on the GT3 arent stainless.

Use the turbo ones at least they're stainless steel and won't rust like the stock ones...

There's just no reason to go this route unless you are supercharging the engine and running high boost.

Why is/are you splitting your engine?

Don't forget anti seize on the header bolts.

I've got a (used but look great) set of the stainless Turbo header bolts. I always used them to replace the OE GT3 bolts which rust and look like crap. They are to be installed dry, not with any pastes.
