COTA DE Tech Form Requirements
I'm going to a DE event this weekend at COTA, and the track has its own tech form with some notable requirements.
- Brake pads must be 90%!!!
- Brake flush within the past 3 months
- Receipt for the tech inspection must be attached. No self tech unless your car is new and has less than 5K miles.
I don't know if the MVP event will have the same requirements, but I wanted to pass the above along so folks aren't caught out.

I'm going this weekend as well and will give everyone a report. Sounds like they are just being over cautious. For this weeken at least the track only has 93 unleaded available so if you guys are running any special blends you can bring your own fuel.

But AutoTek on the south end of town sells a variety of VP fuels. I believe the unleaded they sell is MS109. Call 'em to be sure. They are about 20 minutes away from the track (which is in the boonies).
Houston has a bunch of places that sell 100, so if passing through, there's your fill-up.

Not 100, no.

I see nothing about this tech form which differs from all other DE forms regarding self-tech. The 90% and 3 month flush are changes, but I dont see anywhere in Rick's emails about a receipt being required. Or that you cant self tech. In fact, on top of the form it specifically says "Qualified Driver or Certified tech must initial each item". Same as always. I'm going to self tech like I always do.
Hopefully you see me out on track and not sitting on the sidelines b/c of this... :-)

If you have the same form I do it requires that you have a receipt spelled out no self tech unles your car is new with less than just a few miles on it. COTA will be checking the tech forms if not the cars themselves so if it was me I would go get a receipt tommorow. Just MHO

Well I stand corrected - I didn't see line 23. Heading to the shop tomorrow for a tire change anyway onto street tires so thankfully I can get them to sign off on it then.
Thanks for the heads up folks

Here's the link for the tech form for this weekend's Driver's Edge event. The MVP form doesn't have the same requirements, but it wouldn't surprise me if COTA sprung this on them at the last minute.
