You should make a list of the tools you want (not necessarily need), in fact I can help you with what that list (makes things easier for me at the track
), and let your wife know this is your wish list. You bring her flowers, you get a ratchet, you bring her to Hawaii, she gets you a compressor!

OK, Mooty... here's what I'm willing to do. I've got free access to the big $$$ tools to precisely cut the foam. I can take your tracings and turn them into a digital file the cutter can read. You just need to provide me with your tracings for each drawer. I'll even help you with the layout if you'd like. All I ask in return is for a drawer full of shiny new Snap On tools for my new box. Deal?

I certainly dont mean to contradict The Mooty, but....
![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Still US Made:
Proto:
http://www.stanleyproto.com/default....&PAGE=HOME.HTM
Williams: (OK, a division of Snap On)
http://www.snaponindustrialbrands.com/30/home.htm
Armstrong: from the "About Us" page:
"Armstrong Tools are still, and will continue to be made in the U.S.A. They are designed and manufactured for professional tool users and continue to be manufactured with uncompromising quality."
http://www.armstrongtools.com/client...s/default.aspx
Also:
Wright
Channellock (though not everything)
Klein
SK
And, yes still some Craftsman stuff. I just bought this:
http://www.sears.com/craftsman-premi...p-00902548000P
It is a very nice 84 tooth wratchet. Not Snap On, but 1/3 cost, and for my use, will last a couple lifetimes.

Adjustable wrenches from Craftsman are quite impressive as well. Sad to see so much of the Craftsman lineup really dropping their quality bias.
Other European brands that are excellent include:
Stahlwille:

Hazet:
http://www.hazet.com/
Certainly not an exhaustive list, but a place to start.

It's a sickness... BTW the company that does the inserts for SnapOn is located in Irvine CA... Victory Foam does all the inserts and I bet if you sent them a photo of your drawer layout, with SnapOn part numbers they could make your inserts and even water jet in the tool information. I know that when I've ordered SnapOn boxes in the past it was a $2500 to $5000 adder depending on box size.

My new trailer is coming with a tool box - that is the extent of her needing to know about that...
I dont want to distract her from our kids -- it really is for her own good that I do not bother her

This foam cutter works and is cheap. Requires some work to build.

You all don't want to see what I use for tools for da track.
1 canvas bag containing screwdrivers, wrenches of all types. pliers of all types, and anything misc. a 1/4 and 3/8 socket set in a plastic case. 1 metal case with 1/2 drive 12 point sockets, a Dewalt 1/2 variable speed torque wrench and a 1/2 drive click torque wrench.
Never had a need for anything else.
or in other words "keep it simple for a simple person"
