M&M Cup System in Titanium
#31
Eddie, Peter and John it was a pleasure meeting today.
Great results with the .2RS but deep down I never doubted it.
I've been beating my head flat against the wall for years arguing that M&M is the best. All the others are a "flash in the pan".
Peter your 6GT3 performaned outstanding. Awesome power put down.
Look forward to Winterfest to meet more fellow motorsport enthusiasts.

Congrats on making this healthy number. This matches what I got on my 6GT3 Track car when I replaced its stock exhaust with my 7GT3RS exhaust and side deletes. I was floored also. Couldn't believe it and it got better with each run. It makes me wonder what this M&M system would do on my 6GT3.....

I am still in shock that an engine rated at 380 crank could pull over 390 at the wheel with just an exhaust. I knew the car was faster after the change and now I know why. It also sounds so much better. I do believe with an M&M exhaust and Evomsit tune it might very well push close to 400rwhp.

Eddie: So are these gains mostly because you dumped the cats on the JM's car? That's a lot of wheel HP from just swapping the exhaust.

Is this the first time you've seen a GT3 dyno'd? Always underated by the factory
Underrated ??? Let's put this way the only 'stock' 997 GT3 that I've seen on the same dyno with that kind of power on stock headers was running on E85, we don't have to say that this is a 996, which has different cams, and heads....
This car right now is faster than a lot of 997 GT3 (3.6)

It's a combination, as you can see the raw gains of headers and exhaust alone without parameters changed were stated, and that coming from a less restrictive exhaust system with the side anchors on.
There is a lot more to the system than just no cats. Header design, length, diameter, order, and working with a proper exhaust system, and all that, adjusting the fuel, timing and cam timing, for less back pressure, and lower egt temps, lead to those gains, and an incredibly smooth power delivery and drivebility.
John will chime in eventually and post his owns impressions.

I have seen lots of 6GT3 dynos usually around 350/360 rwhp. Never seen one with more rwhp than the factory stated crank HP. Plus minimal drone from 2300 to 2700 rpm. Sorta like IF?? your car dyno'd at 430rwhp with your new Baller Exhaust.

[QUOTE=Eddie - RPW;10106649]No the gains are from exhaust, headers, lack of cats, and proper tune.

The results of Eddie's mastery feels almost like a different car. The throttle response is the most noticeable, but the pull through the power band seems stronger and more consistent than before.
This is my 4th exhaust system change since stock. Started with SW track exhaust, SW Bypass and early 997 Cup full system to this. I was very happy with the Cup system, as it felt good and sounded great. That is, until I drove home yesterday. Couldn't be happier. Total mindf@ck as I was contemplating selling the car until this happened.
In the end, performance matters most and the numbers speak for themselves in the comps. It was 80 some degrees yesterday with 91% humidity and Eddie still achieved 440 whp. There is more there, but who is counting.......
The quality is fantastic and one would be crazy to spend twice the coin for something made behind the iron curtain, with probably less gains. Just ship your cars to Eddie and still save money.
Thanks again Eddie
