Tasman there is no good price for a Clubsport. They are not easily available in the US, and are expensive, that's why a used one nowadays sells for close to it's new price.
Good luck with the search.
I have a GMG in my own car, and the seat does NOT go all the way back. It actually touches the seat if you're not careful. I don't know if they recently changed the design or not.

RSS bars allow the seat to go all the way back. They are solid 1piece bars, no rattles, and extremely well built and priced right. They have 2 models for the 997...both bolt to rear shock towers and one bolts to the floor and the other bolts to the front seat belt holder on the frame. RSS builds all there own bars right in Souther CA at their shop.

Never concidered anything than the CS bar, but forget good price.
Nothing offers more room than a CS roll bar. It's how they come in germany and how they are supposed to be.
Your car might even be one of the first .1RS that came with the plates for the CS bar!

Guys thanks for all the input. Have actually done my homework via the forums and vendor websites etc. I think I have a pretty good handle on the options and their + and -'s. Would love to have CS but cost is a consideration. Trying to find some good used options. If no good used ones will consider a new one. Thanks again for your help.

I have a used GMG roll bar with rear carpet section from my RS this way you don't have to cut into your carpet. You can have both for $700 - you pay shipping

Mikymu,
Is that the bar that mounts to the rear strut area or to the seatbelt area? Tempting. Only problem is I would have to paint my car to match. Seriously if it mounts to the strut area I am really interested.
THanks

It mount on seat belt area. I think you can get arms from GMG to add attachment to strut
