How many of you owned a M3 before their GT3?
#123
a shot of my e92 m3 with my 997.1RS.... the m3 has since been sold...
my current daily driver is a 09 WRX STi.
the RS is so much more engaging to drive and a lot more raw in terms of feedback, sound, etc. but the m3 is much much more comfortable for longer road trips.

Currently I own an e92 M3 and I am trying to figure out whether I want to turn it into an all out track car since its paid for and I already have a ton of track focussed mods on the car. I know they are heavy, but it could be a great toy for me and my friends to go racing in.
I grew up with Porsches and I've been completely obsessed with GT3s since I first rode in a 996.2 in college. I made a deal with myself when I went to work with my current company back when I was 25 that I would buy a GT3 by my 30th birthday (I'm 28 now). Hope to be going after a 7.2 GT3 in the next year and a half.
EDIT: I should also add that my M3 now has 56k miles as it has been my DD since I bought it with 3k miles in September of 2008. I don't think I'll be able to get much for the car, hence my toying with the idea of turning it into a fully caged track car.

1995 325i (one of the best cars I've ever owned 100k + miles)
2001 330i (junk)
2004 M3 (dream car at the time)
2003 M5 (muffler delete, so much fun!)
1988 M3 with S52 (first dedicated track car and most expensive car to track!)
2004 E350 wagon (daily driver)
Now 2006 997S (dual purpose and best car I have ever owned - pads/tires swap only)
GT3? soon I hope (middle aged dream car)
