Seth,
I think Jeff A. still has your old ltw. Last time I checked he's still parked it in the garage.
Past cars: 99 e36 Cosmos M3, 97 e36 Dakar M3.
Current: 04 Imola e46 M3.
Future: 7.2 GT3 RS...I've got to stop hanging around on RL. Friends just bought 7.2 GT3 and 7.2 GT3 RS within the last couple months is just too much temptation.

95 e36 M3
2003.5 e46 M3
2000 E39 M5 Current
Have never owned a GT3 street but have had several GT3 Cup's: 2000 996 cup, 2006 997 cup, 2007 grand-Am, 2008 Grand_am, 2009 Grand-am, 2010 cup
I have always been a huge M fan. Had the chance to race a 2 and 4 door E36 M3 GTR. The 4 door was a trick car.
Have always wanted an Orange E30 M3

Seems that a lot of us have owned or currently do own a BMW M3 along with our GT3s. With the addition of Monochrom3 I thought it would be interesting to see how many of us did come from owning M3s. What says the poll? List the car you owned before the GT3 even if it is a M3
My previous M3:
1998 E36 M3 with 272 rwhp
1995 E36 M3 Lightweight with 3.0L Euro Motor
Current M3:
1995 M3 Lightweight garage queen with 13K miles

Still have both E36 M3 for 4 door duties in summer together with a Blk/Org RS. For winter 4 door needs, recently bought an STi as all Audi offerings did not quite do it for me.
Prior car was a 996GT3 and before that a 993TT. The M was not my prior car (M was spouse's actually but she moved on to a regular BMW 3er sedan for all year driving) but as I did not find a suitable light enough summer sedan, stuck to the M.
M cars were nicer - not that they are too bad now just not as good as the E30 and E36 days unlike Porsche which has improved a lot. But, M now seems a bit more about coffee 'n crumbs at the dealership, giving 10 to the service dept. and endless, relentless, pointless surveys together with dealership thinking you need to have your ego stroked at every opportunity. Not that other mfgrers are doing it any differently..... but M and BMW take the cake. Car sticker prices have not kept up with inflation (gut feeling) but actual cost of ownership definitely has (given that lifespan of car is shorter with all the electronics causing ever more expensive repairs). So, for the time being, no M cars and no BMWs either I think.

+1 on M's getting Porky. It has happened to way to many good cars. Gotta give kudos to Porsche and Corvette for working to keep weight down in today's world.
Yes I also owned a 1964 Vdub top speed 72mph.
