as you can tell we were in a pretty rural area and turning around was tight - but that is no excuse - I will sit in "the box of shame"

Amar,
I'm glad you're enjoying it and that you are sharing it with Ed. Porsche people are nice. :-). Ok, maybe some Ferrari folks are alright, too.
The setting feels like Mercer Island; if so, I can see where a turnaround could sometimes be tight.

All my cyber friends are chiming in. I love it.
Mike, Craig thank you. Mclaudio, yes Ferrari people are nice too. This owner spec'd the car for track use and landed up tracking his Ferrari.
"Part of the park learning experience" .. LOL. So you heard the explanation from Ivangene. Not to worry, its just some mud and no serious damage to what is usually a dispensable item. Thanks Ed for making the time to come with me for the photoshoot. Thank you even more for driving it at such low speeds (I know very hard to do) for my shots. I've never done action shots on my other cars and wanted to try it out on this extreme car. Seapar, I'll make some time this spring for sure. Thank you for all the comments on the car and my photography. My friends keep encouraging me to get send all my pics (the C4S, Cayenne, 3.2 and now the RS) to Panorama or Speil. I think I should.
Going back to the RS, as of now I have no mods planned. Thinking of some street tires as it will primarily be for street use yet may leave the MPSC until they are ready to be replaced. The MPSC will also give me the option of going to the driving events in spring. Boy once you do have some heat on the tires, there is enormous traction from these tires. Almost feels like my C4S .. very surprising.
To get down to weight savings. I don't think weight really matters for a novice like me but I'll take it. the car was spec'd by a Porsche enthusiast who wanted to use it on the track. Hence the careful options selection: The stereo/regular headlights itself would have weighed 12 kg. The ceramic brakes is a plus
(20kg savings) on the street IMO and the GT2 bucket seats are perfect for me. The optional lithium-ion battery would have shed 10kg but I did lose almost 8 kg since I bought the car. So thats okay. Plus I don't have to worry when the temps get too cold (not that I would drive it with the current tire set up).
I am not sure what it is and why it is (? dynamic engine mounts or the wider front end or the MPSC or a combination) but the RS definitely is easy to manage even on the tightest of turns on the mountain roads that I frequent. The overall balance of the car amazes me. And oh the sound of that motor .. Just keeps tempting you to use more of the rev range again and again :-)

My God....that is just sensational.....what to say about that beauty! I'm speechless.
You deserve all the pleasure you get from that gorgeous Porsche. I'd love to drive one before I die......love the colors and the sh*t cool statement she makes.
Let me know when you stop smiling....I might not be around by then!
All the best to a real gentleman!!

Mike - Issaquah Fall City road and Duthie Hill rd (which was closed for a bridge repair) which made the normally very light traffic road have much more traffic - causing the turn around to be a tad more nervous ... still I knew better

I didn't need mine either, but buying a GT3 was on my bucket list. However, my "clunker" of a GT3 does not even compare to yours! What a beauty you have. If money was no object, I would have bought a 997.2 GT3RS like yours! However, with 4 kids and 2 in college by next year, it would have broken me financially!
I ended up with a great 08 GT3 with PCCBs and love it as well. I won't be tracking it often, but I just love staring at it and driving it around. I will take DE sessions and do a few track days.
I will be posting the mods to follow, so "like" the link to FB below to follow along. I figure that a center exhaust delete, wheels, and GT3RS wing conversion will be first orders of business! I can't seem to post pics here, so here's my FB link with pics: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Preci...01657236631910

I take responsability for this - when we turned around to go back to the one road for pictures, I turned onto a driveway that was gravel.....and I came in a little to quickly (although almost not moving) and the front dug a little mud up on it
I am not use to such a low front end and the stuff looked to be more like muddy water than anything else - still...i feel/felt like a bafoon
as you can tell we were in a pretty rural area and turning around was tight - but that is no excuse - I will sit in "the box of shame"

absolutely love the radio delete.
i think the screens in cars will date much, much, much earlier than the car.
another reason why geisha should never be sold off to some new pinkerton
