that's what I was wondering - you said splitter
I thought maybe you were thinking lip....he didnt have a splitter that I saw - and no parts fell off the car (that I saw)
is splitter optional?
I know we see a LOT of them on the front straight at the track, so many in fact during the drivers meeting we joke and tell the GT3 guys to put their names on their splitters - LOL

...Thinking of some street tires as it will primarily be for street use yet may leave the MPSC until they are ready to be replaced. The MPSC will also give me the option of going to the driving events in spring. Boy once you do have some heat on the tires, there is enormous traction from these tires....
A word of caution pertaining to the MPSC's. These are a softer R compound tire great for track/road use, however, be very aware in heavy rain/wet conditions... per my personal experience of these tires while tracking my brothers `07 Gt3... grip goes away.

I saw this car at Sunset as well. From the spec I'm surprised it was never tracked.
Beautiful car, my car was purchased days before yours came to Sunset so I missed out!
When you are ready the Trofeo R's IMHO are much quieter and better road/track tires than the MPSC. Given that the only music you have comes from the engine, tire noise here in the PACNW is always an issue to minimize on our 'gravel' roads.
Don't replace your lip if it's only been scratched. Just use Forever Black and touch it up, you will likely do it again so no need to spend the money. Only you will see the scratches after you touch it up.

Thank you once again for all the nice comments and congratulatory messages.
I very much appreciate it.
Seapar has been gently nudging me for track time now for quite some time. He has improved leaps and bounds and as a well wisher for w00t, he wishes that I too reap those benefits. I try to avoid driving the RS when it is wet as I have the C4S. When it does rain during a drive, I take it very easy especially with the lateral forces on the cars.
Great tip on the Forever black thank you. Whether the car has been tracked.. who knows. My detailer thought that he did not see much tell tale signs of track use and the car was pristine inside out. These cars are meant to be tracked and that is the natural habitat for the RS so I am not going to lose sleep over it. My sole criteria was a grey black with red accent RS with radio delete and PCCB's.
I am truly blessed to have a habitat of a different kind, and guess what. The wonderful attributes of the RS that makes it such a special car for the track also makes it a brilliant road car especially for the roads that I frequent although some may disagree with me.
I very much appreciate it.
Amar... Seapar offers sage advice regarding track time.

The winter DS in January at Bremerton is something I would encourage you to take your c4s to. I did it last year with my winter tires on my C4S. Was disappointed temp was only 39 degrees and rainy. Sponsored by local Porsche club. Then if you had a good time during that event take your beautiful RS there in the spring for similar DS day.

A great write up from a true Porsche lover. What a beautiful car and superior photos. As a former air-cooled owner and long-time Porsche fanatic, I can totally relate to your thoughts and impressions. The more Porsches I drive and consider for my next purchase, the more I find that I'm especially drawn to the GT3's as one of the must-experience models in modern Pcars. Looks like it will still be a awhile for me to get into a 3(nothing that more $ wouldn't cure in a hurry) and like you, I plan on using it as a frequent driver to enjoy the plentiful and wonderful mountain roads in the northwest. I don't think there is a rule that that they must be tracked to be loved for what they can do on the street, especially in safe conditions on quiet country roads. Maybe not to their limits, but oh, I can hear the music now... Congrats and enjoy the 3 experience!
