CAE SHIFTERS IN STOCK STATESIDE!!!!!
Cae Ultra shifters are compatible with 996, 997, Cayman, and Boxster.
CAE Shifters are available in 2 Choices:
10013st: hich is for cars in which you would like to keep your center console.
10014: Which is for cars with no interior.
Shifter for use with the original Porsche gearshift cables (not included in delivery). Included in delivery: gearshift lug completely pre-assembled, connecting parts for the original gearshift cables, installation instructions. This shifter is supplied in blank brushed aluminium. Short and super-precise shifting travel, exclusively H-pattern and suitable for 4-, 5- and 6-gear transmissions. The coupling system remains in its original form. Racing-style appearance. All shifters are characterised by their optimal ergonomics with a focus on motor sports: perfect positioning of the shift lever close to the steering wheel. The shift pattern for all shifters is confined to approx. 70x70 mm. Activation of the reverse gear lock via cable reel from the shift lever. An accidental changing to the reverse gear is impossible. The reverse gear is unlocked by pulling up the sliding collar on the shift lever. (Only if the transmission has no integrated lock.) Low weight and high stability: the milled and lathed parts consist of 7075 aluminium alloy; the substructures are made out of laser-cut, 3mm thick AlMg3 aluminium. The parts are combined in the WIG welding process and brushed blank for an optimal finish. Problem-free shifting of gears under stress or in curves. Integrated centre position spring, ensuring perfect feedback when changing columns while shifting up and down. Right/left stops and reverse gear stop adjustable separately. Simple installation through complete conversion kit: All systems are delivered with all small parts, fastening material and detailed installation instructions.

intriguing... I have CMS shifter but this seems to be a better mousetrap
specifically like the raised shift ****
for a car with a center console, what modification is required in the "frame"?
per the web link provided, "On the center console itself no modifications necessary. The frame between the center console and shift boot must be slightly modified."
I am assuming that cup cables work just fine since the stock cables are fine etc...

^ You won't regret it... if you do it. And if you do, I'm sure that you can turn around and sell it for the same price, once you factor in the early adopter discount

May be interested in this as well, if the center console can stay, may have to talk to alpha bedding about an alcantara shift boot for these guys...
Would also be coming to the NW, so Spokane to Seattle is easy shipping!

The closest thing to being a sequential... without being a sequential. See post #33 of the thread below. Post #25 has a video.
- Puts the shifter right by your right hand, by the steering wheel. It's "right there".
- Has its own set of springs instead of relying on the springs in the gearbox, so action is much more precise, more deliberate. This however is why I am not sure that I would put it on a daily driver, it could get "tiring". But it's perfect on the track, where everything is purposeful.
- Lever is longer, but throws are shorter.
There is NOTHING wrong with the stock 997 GT3 shifter if you have the cup cables, this is just... better IMO.
Yes, I bought 911SLOW's... just out of curiosity. I was not looking for a solution to a problem.
I posted my impressions here: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...e-shifter.html
And 911SLOW's pictures and description here: https://rennlist.com/forums/9537234-post296.html
Let me know if you have any specific questions, I have approx 20 days with it.
Before trying it I thought it might be a bit much, but was curious; after one or two session I thought is was pretty cool and fun, and looked high-tech; after a day or two I started thinking it was possibly one of my best mods, but then, I tend to think that way about all of them, so YMMV.
