anybody who looks at picture above - you cannot get into such car unless you have quick mount for steerinng wheel, so, such a recaro with hans may not work in a street car as seat usually is bolted to the floor. there are exceptions, may be, but i did not see a single one yet where it could be possible to get in/out easily with a helmet on.

But I'm curious if anyone has used harnesses w/ the standard seats. Again this is a 2 times a year at max use.

I know that the sub belt on Shroth set-up is where the buckle is but I'm curious if that could be fed through the back/bottom of the seat? Or if there are still 4 point set-ups out there.

I've also thought about fabricating something that holds the shoulder belts close to eachother such as guides similar to how they are fed through race seats.

Thoughts.

cg lock is as good as it gets with stock seats IMHO

If you are going to do two track days a year, it is not that big of a hassle to swap out the stock seat and put in a race seat, that is properly setup for harnesses, just for the day.

Otherwise, save yourself the headache and just go with stock seats and belts.

Thanks for all the replies.

Yes this is likely my plan.. I have 5 race seats, not sure why because I have 1 ***.?

Wanted to see if there was some new items on the market...

Don't want to be a thorn in this thread but someone who races should know better about compromising one's safety. You must be drinking today : ). Mike

Dave, I run my 7GT3 with stock seats and stock belts and still have a blast. Sure I could be faster with buckets, harnesses, etc., but I forgot how much fun you can still have in these cars in STOCK form. I'll probably grab some buckets in the very near future since I already have the Tequipment Harness Roll Bar installed but right now, 3pt belts it is!

My vote too Dave. Through in a couple of recaro pole pos seats on track days and get dealer to turn off the air bag and seat beat "ding ding". Keep the stock seats for you and your honey.

Same here. Wife doesn't like the buckets for those nights out on the town.

Touché. I was just wondering if there was anything new on the market. I've had race seats for 8 years now in all my (track oriented) cars.
Wasn't drinking this morning. But I probably still had some heat on my breathe.
